It’s been nearly 2 and a 1/2 years since the world has seen the young talent that was James “Mandigo Warrior” Kirkland (25-0 22kos) stop time and turn heads in the ring. Having last defeated hard-hitting Columbian, Joel “LoveChild” Julio(TKO6) way back in March of ’07, he certainly has much to prove upon his return. Up next, a March 5th bout on the Alvarez/Hatton undercard against Florida native, Ahsandi “Mr.Brixx” Gibbs. Coming back from 2 losses while holding a record of (10W-2L-4KO’s), “Mr.Brixx” comes to fight; perhaps a solid tune-up for the return of a fallen star. Despite personal legal conflicts temporarily derailing his career, you can count on James returning with a vengeance. With new trainer Kenny Adams guiding Kirkland back to the top, you can already guarantee fireworks.
